I have created this section due to the many questions I received through private messaging and comments on social media, most of them are the same or similars so I hope this guide answer the most common doubts you have if you are new here:
If you have any questions about OpenBOR or incompatibility with PC peripherals (controls, keyboards, etc.), please do so on the Chronocrash.com forums. The games works perfect in my PC and the android emulator I use so I can’t help with that xd.
The Xbox control incompatibility I think is due to an issue with the OpenBOR engine itself that has existed for a long time.
Anyway I have made a video tutorial about how to set OpenBOR to play with a PC joystick.
Because there are many followers who ask me almost daily on social media networks and private message. I need my free time (which is really scarce) for game development.
By the way, I would appreciate whoever reads this if they can answer those doubts, questions or problems for me.
No, I am not a professional nor do I have a degree, studies or certification. I’m just someone who love create video games on weekends to release the stress from day to day (in absence of good video games to play lately xd).
No, True Role Dreams is a kind of fictitious company, I don’t sell any video game, it’s a personal website that was born as “playing” and the advertising is only to pay for the hosting and domain of the website (I would have opted for free hosting, but they are so limited).
And about the projects, more than complete video games, they are something similar to what the ripped resources would offer if they were made by a real video game company, at least that’s the “feeling” I want to give them (I don’t know if you understand the point xd).
Because I make these video games to de-stress me not to have a “second job” and due to the shortage of “[Insert your favorite video game] Makers” or engines which don’t require programming knowledge, I choose them for them this way (it all started with the Editor from World of Warcraft III xd).
Besides, the projects are aimed to very small audiences, although I don’t discard futures characters with sprites created by me (or minimal royalty free sprites xd).
By the way, the source from which I got the materials (graphics, music y sound effects) that I use for my games will always be at the end of the trailers and at their official website footer.
No, since I have little knowledge of programming (although I understand its logic and algorithms), that’s why I usually resort to tools such as OpenBOR or RPG maker that make easy this process and using that framework as a template to raise the game design.
I hope this answers the most general questions, this section may change or be updated in the future, that depends on the next questions I receive.
